PHIL HORST (BEN) (Playwright)

​

Phil is excited to be bringing his original script, Well Adjusted to The New York International Fringe Festival. Phil has written several short plays that were performed in Pittsburgh, and he is currently working on two full length play scripts. In addition to writing, Phil is excited to be returning to acting after taking time off to write and direct. He recently directed Legally Blonde: The Musical, Perfect Wedding and The Rocky Horror Show at various theaters throughout Charlottesville. Some favorite previous roles include: Ben in Well Adjusted (of course), Glenn Cooper in Rumors, and Benjamin Braddock in The Graduate.

CLAIRE CHANDLER (BETH)

Claire Chandler is thrilled to be reprising the role of Beth in New York production of Well Adjusted.  She is a student at Mary Baldwin College and recently studied Shakespeare in a 3-week workshop at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. Past shows include: Or, (Live Arts 2013), Woman in a Tiled Room (4CP 2013), Crazy-busy (Whole Theatre 2012). Next up is Sally in Denise Stewart's The Sugar.

KELSEY BOGGS (BETSY)

Kelsey Boggs is happy to be returning to the role of Betsy in Phil Horst's original play Well AdjustedKelsey Boggs has appeared in a wide variety of plays and musicals including: Gildenstern in Rosencrantz and Gildenstern are Dead, playing Gildenstern, Florinda in Into The Woods, and as Elvira in Blithe's Spirit. She has also worked behind the scenes running light and sound for Woman In a Tiled Room an original play by Shawn B. Hirabayashi.

DEANDRA IRVING (NATASHA)

​

Deandra had the absolute pleasure of performing in Legally Blonde: The Musical after a four year dry spell while she was getting her BS in Chemistry from the University of Virginia. She has always enjoyed that mental and physical drain of performing on stage, and she is excited to return to her hometown to perform Well Adjusted for Fringe audiences.

MARTY MOORE (DIRECTOR)

Marty had the honor of directing the premiere of Well Adjusted at the Four County Players in 2012. She has been involved in Theater for the past 15 years. Most recently she directed Speech and Debate by Stephan Karam at Live Arts Theater. She is thrilled at the opportunity to share Well Adjusted with the Fringe audiences, and is looking forward to hearing their laughter.

ROBERT RYDLAND (MARK)

Robert is very excited to be performing at this year's Fringe Festival in New York. He is originally from Miami, where he majored in Theater at the University of Miami. Now living in Charlottesville Virginia, he has performed numerous roles in the Miami and Charlottesville areas including Demetrius in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Jack in Into the Woods, Danny Zuko in Grease, Scott in Evil Dead the Musical and Mark in the orignal production of Phil Horst's Well Adjusted.

Lora Lee Jones (ABBY)

Lora Lee Jones is very excited to be in New York this summer. She has performed in a wide range of productions both for stage and screen. Jones studied both in New York and Los Angeles, receiving formal training in voice, dance, screen acting and improv. Since graduating from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, Lora Lee’s stage roles have ranged from Shakespeare to Eve Ensler. Prior to playing Abby in the current production, she played Claire in Jean Genet’s The Maids and Meg in Beth Henley’s Crimes of the Heart. Her independent film credits include roles in nearly a dozen short films and two feature length works, most notably the female lead in the award-winning buddhist horror flick Mantra. That performance earned her a Best Actress nod, while her work in other roles contributed to four Best Film awards at the Virginia Film Festival.  

SARAH EDWARDS (KATE)

​

Sarah is very excited to be in New York City and humbled to share the stage with these well adjusted grown-ups. Prior to playing Kate, she was a costume designer, writer and parody lyricist for several productions and student groups at The University of Virginia. Recent stage roles include: Little Edie in Grey Gardens, Mrs. Daldry in In the Next Room and Kristine in A Chorus Line, all with Live Arts in Charlottesville, VA. In real life she is a middle school science teacher and has recently relocated to the Washington DC area.
